A really tiny 10″x8″ inch acrylic painting I did from my sketchbook of a hipster on the train. She had the most amazing houndstooth coat… I had alot of fun drawing the patterns… and I love how the canvas looks at an angle… It’s got this sort of contrast-y, opposing color thing on the sides of the painting that I added. (click to make it bigger!)

I also have it up on the etsy for sale here: [link]

And in bigger and better news: My old Epson wide format printer which died two years ago… has been REPLACED! I purchased a Canon Pixima printer… which means that I’m now able to sell my own prints again! (yay!) So, If you see anything on the site that you’d like to purchase as a print, send me an email (or send me a note through the contact page) and I’ll let you know more. The only problem is that the biggest I can print is 13″x19″ inches. Any bigger and you still have to purchase it through the inPrnt store.

Ok! Now that I’m done updating, I wish all of you a happy Fourth of July! Yay! I got a little lucky and have a 4 day weekend off… so perhaps more work will be posted up soon!

I’ve been recovering from surgery over the last two weeks and have been in hiding from the public for a little. Lucky for me, I’m finally feeling much better, and have been going outdoors, and doing more drawing! It’s so nice to get back to a semi-normal life again! Although, I go back to work on Thursday *sigh*, this was a nice break while it lasted (minus the very painful parts).

Speaking of madness… I’ve been going mad a bit too lately. Apartment has been smoke-ified by downstairs neighbor even after countless complaints. Ah, what use is a lease if it isn’t actually worth anything? *sigh*. On the other hand, I’m done with surgery and making a slow, but steady, recovery! (yay!) Although my swollen head closely resembles a chipmunk, I am slowly starting to look like myself again. So I shouldn’t be too scary looking by the time I go back to work. (oh well!).

Started a new piece called, ‘Day In, Day Out’ from one of my previous sketches… I’m about 70% finished. It’s acrylic and ink, on 14″x17″ Bristol. I’m really happy to get to put more intestines in my work, those are always fun to draw… I also used glazing for the first time in FOREVER since college, but with acrylic this time (which I’ve never been too successful with, but I really like how it’s working).

I’ve been experimenting the last few weeks on test paintings, to try to (once again) try to get the drawings to be 90% finished before I tweak on the computer. Below are three results of that, one of them hasn’t even been touched by the computer! (I liked it too much to finish past the point I was at… can you tell which one??) I’ve just really missed the feel of painted work and wanted to change things up a big, and get down some thick paint, instead of the watercolor-like stuff I’ve done previously.
